Wag & Run Dog Park - a fully enclosed and secure dog walking field with beautiful views.

Welcome to Wag & Run

We are a small family run facility for all dog owners and dog walkers.

Opened in May 2021 and receiving brilliant reviews.

This is the most secure dog field in Ayrshire with fantastic views accross to Arran and over the Ayrshire countryside. Conveniently situated just 1/4 mile along the road from Gemmels Garden Centre (between Coylton and Mauchline, KA55JD).

You can find us on google maps.

Gemmells Garden Centre is now DOG FRIENDLY and provide both eat in and carry out food. We have a picnic table for picnics.

We are super secure, providing 6 ft fencing throughout with no dig netting and an enclosed purpose built car park. The secure car park takes 3 cars and sits off road, it is easy and safe to enter and depart from. Wag and Run prides itself on being a secure, worry free facility.

Having had dogs all our lives we recognise how much your dog means to you.

All dogs are welcome at Wag and Run.

The reasons people may have to use our dog field

could include; having a young or rescue dog, reactive dog or dogs with no recall. Dogs who may have been previously attacked by other dogs whilst walking in public spaces. Or a dog recovering from injury. You may just want to be left along to enjoy the privacy and tranquility of the countryside. Wag and Run certainly has beautiful views across the Ayrshire countryside and Arran.

Wag & Run has plenty of space in the 2 acre field to run about as well as a variety of interest for the dogs to jump, dig, climb on or run through as well as dog friendly herbs to sniff. Pools will be provided in the summer months. There will be more on the way as we grow.

There is a tap so no need to bring water. We also provide toys and poo bags incase you forget.

We now have a path and are wheelchair friendly too.

Our field and car park is for the sole use of the client booked into that time slot.

There are no water courses and so no danger of being bothered by flies or the posibility of your dog drinking contaminated water.

We work on the field outside of bookings so the place is totally yours for the time you book it for.
There is a shelter and seating around the field.
The field is on a slight slope and we do have a variety of pet animals in adjacent fields (pigs, sheep, goats, horses and hens) so please bear this in mind before booking. Our animals are fine with dogs close by, even barky ones.

* As autumn approaches we do reduce our hours in accordance to daylight hours. These will be extended again in spring. We dont have flood lights out of respect to our neighbours. *
Please read the terms and conditions.

We really want you and your dogs to have an enjoyable visit.

Have Fun, Carol and Ian
